AeA Holds Training On
How To Win California State Business
Wednesday, September 19, 2007

Betty Baker, Executive Director, AeA Silicon
Valley/Northern CA Council
On Wednesday, September 19, 2007, the AeA
Silicon Valley/Northern CA Council hosted a training, How To Win Business in
CA: A California State Procurement Event, which was sponsored by WhiteNoise.
It was an intimate training with the Department of General Services (DGS)
and the Federal Technology Center (FTC) on the ins-and-outs of doing
business with the State of California. The training was topped with
the best practices of an industry peer, Cisco Systems.
While the DGS and the FTC regularly offer
these trainings to all businesses in all industries, they do not coordinate
their schedules with each other. AeA was able to arrange to have these
trainings on the same day, in the same time and place, as well as provide
the industry perspective. Furthermore, the DGS and the FTC were able
to tailor their trainings to focus only on the high-tech industry.
Therefore, this event became a truly unique training and networking
opportunity for our AeA member companies in attendance.
