Eleven High-Tech Companies from New England to Meet Investors at 10th Annual AeA Micro Cap Financial Conference

Woburn, MA (April 29, 2008) – Eleven companies from New England will present at the 10th Annual AeA Micro Cap Financial Conference from May 4-6 at the Monterey Plaza Hotel in Monterey, California. Up to 100 companies representing 25 states will present at the conference. This year for the first time, the conference will feature a track on alternative energy/green tech companies, including a panel discussion hosted by Needham & Company, LLC.

“The unique, neutral format at AeA’s Micro Cap Financial Conference allows high-tech executives to connect with investors and pair off for intimate discussions about various technologies, strategic missions, trend analyses, and investment potential,” said AeA Executive Director Anne Doherty Johnson. “The presentation format is ideally suited for the frank, one-on-one discussions that must take place to establish these important relationships.”

“BTU International finds that the AeA Micro Cap offers an outstanding way to communicate the news about our growing company to investors,” said Paul J. van der Wansem, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, BTU International, Inc., a leading supplier of advanced thermal processing equipment for the alternative energy and electronics manufacturing markets. “As a company seeking to attract investors, this conference helps build visibility for our company and the range of alternative energy technologies we offer to the market.”

Companies representing every sector and region of the high-technology industry will present their business plans at the AeA Micro Cap Conference this year. Sectors include software, computer hardware, semiconductor, telecommunications, wireless, alternative energy and greentech, defense technology, security and medical devices.

Companies participating from New England include: Bridgeline Software, Inc.; BTU International, Inc.; Candela Corporation; ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd.; Edgewater Technology, Inc.; Electro Energy, Inc.; Implant Sciences Corp; Psychemedics Corporation; Soapstone Networks, Inc.; TransAct Technologies Inc.; and Wave Systems Corp.
