Currently, the Silicon Valley/Northern CA Council has four committees. They meet once a
month to plan activities in conjunction with the Silicon Valley/Northern CA Council Staff.
Each committee has a specific set of functions and objectives.
Member-only
Benefit: Participate on one of our committees!
If you are a member company executive and would like to serve on one of
our committees, please contact Betty
Baker, 408.987.4200
Executive Committee:
Serves as the Council oversight committee for the direction of the working committees and membership development.
Sends representatives
to report at the National Board Meetings.
Program Committee:
Works to identify "hot" industry issues and identify recognized
speakers on those topics. What emerges is a seminar or conference to address
the issue on behalf of our members. See the events page to get an idea of
what they've been planning.
Legislative Action
Network: Focuses on educating both
our members and our area legislators on the potential outcomes of
legislative movements. This committee hosts luncheons and gives
private briefings to legislators upon request.
Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 Working Group: In
response to member concerns, AeA has launched a grassroots initiative to
modify Section 404 of
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and has recently released a white paper on the
topic. All 18 Councils of AeA's nationwide
grassroots network have established working groups on this issue.

National Government Affairs Committees:
Get the most out of your membership by joining
one of our many national government affairs committees -- participation is
open to any AeA member company, and there is no limit to the number of
employees per company who sign up. Learn
more about all of AeA's International, National and State Government Affairs
Committees at www.aeanet.org/committees.
