AeA, founded in 1943, is a nationwide trade
association that represents all segments of the technology industry and is
dedicated solely to helping our members’ top line and bottom line. We do
this in partnership with our small, medium, and large member companies by
lobbying governments at the state, federal, and international levels;
providing access to capital and business opportunities; and offering select
business services and networking programs.
This year, AeA is proud to
represent the high-tech industry in
California’s Capitol. AeA represents more than 1,400 high-tech companies in
California, ranging from the giants of the high-tech industry to small
electronics manufacturers and Internet start-ups. AeA’s team in Sacramento
continues to work on your behalf to address key policy issues, build
alliances with policy makers, and educate the public sector about the
high-tech industry’s significant contributions to the state.
AeA also represents our members' interests in
contracting with the California Government. For example, we are involved in
the California IT Contracting Terms and Conditions Work Groups, hosted by
the Department of General Services in California. AeA organizes networking
dinners, known as the Executive Dinner Series, whereby 12-14 members have
dinner with California Department Directors and CIO's. In addition, AeA can
arrange to have members demonstrate their products to key Agencies and
Departments, such as the Governor's Office of Emergency Services; the
Department of Health; and Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
