Executive Committee:
Marty Singer, CEO of Chicago based PCTEL, Inc., and Chairman of AeA's
Midwest Council.
Under Marty's leadership, AeA's Midwest Board of Directors is responsible
for driving initiatives, programs and legislation to benefit and protect the
high-tech industry at the state and federal level. AeA's Midwest membership
is comprised of 130 leading technology companies employing more than 45,000
high-tech workers in the Midwest region and generating nearly $50 billion in
annual revenue.
A seasoned entrepreneur and communications industry veteran with a history of
revitalizing tech companies, Singer is the first new chairman of the Midwest
Council since it reopened in November of 2004.
At AeA, Singer aims to turn around the once-prosperous I-88 tech corridor and
help smaller tech companies get relief from costly Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Prior to joining PCTEL in late 2001, Marty held the position of President and
CEO at SAFCO Technologies where his team grew revenues from $18 million to $42
million in two and one-half years. SAFCO led the cellular industry in providing
network design tools, measurement products, and network performance information.
Marty was a Vice-President within Motorola's Cellular Infrastructure Group.
